PUT HAZARDOUS WASTE IN THE RIGHT PLACE!

Hazardous waste and E-waste items do not belong in any ACI of San Ramon collection container.

Hazardous items like pesticides, fertilizers, pool & photo chemicals, paint/varnish, toxic cleaning products, smoke detectors, mercury-containing items (thermometers, CFLs/fluorescent lights, etc.), unwanted medications, and sharps (needles, lancets, etc.) need to be taken to a hazardous waste collection facility. San Ramon single-family residents can use the curbside collection program for the following items:

 

HOUSEHOLD BATTERY COLLECTION

In a zipper-lock style bag on top of (not inside) your Recyclables cart. Please tape terminals on 9-volt batteries. No automotive or liquid lithium ion batteries allowed.

USED MOTOR OIL & COOKING OIL COLLECTION

In separate (oils cannot be mixed) 1-gallon, or smaller, sealed screw-top containers. Used oil filters in a sealed zipper-lock style bag. Place next to (not inside) your Recyclables cart. Oil jugs and oil filter bags may be requested from ACI of San Ramon. No other automotive liquids accepted.
